Sara's Last Entry for 18 Months

This is Sara for the last time for 18 months. I am excited to go and can't wait to get out there and share my knowledge with whoever I come in contact with. I know this church is true, and I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love all of us. I am thrilled to be able to have the opportunity to share that while on my mission at Temple Square. I know that I am going where the Lord wants me and where I can do my best. I love you all and will see you in a year and a half!

He did it as a gift for Sara's mission. We love them and are very appreciative.

On Sunday, June 16, 2013, Sara gave her talk in sacrament meeting in the Eastland, Texas branch. It was Father's Day, so the talks mentioned fathers as well as missionary work. Her talk was beautiful and she bore a wonderful testimony that demonstrates she will be a great missionary. She is excited to go to SLC Temple Square and feel the Spirit that resides there. We were blessed to have all three of her brothers in attendance. Josh spoke about a contractor who was spending all of his time away from home and decided to become a mailman instead so that he could spend more time with his family. He also told his famous "Use your 'face' (faith) " story. Jared sang, "Savior, Redeemer of My Soul" with words written by Orson F. Whitney. It was very moving. Jeremy talked about a great father in one of the cities in California, where he served his mission.  His daughter had promised to join the Church while very ill, but didn't get around to taking the lessons until years later. Jeremy was able to teach her & she is now serving a mission in Florida. It was a great meeting, and we had a fun pot luck dinner afterward.

This blog is to keep you all updated on how I am doing on my mission. My mom will be keeping it updated weekly, when she remembers. She will put my weekly letters on here and put up some photos I send home as well.

When I first opened my call i was shocked and a little disappointed. But then I felt very privileged. I am so excited to serve around Temple Square. Although I have grown up in Utah and have been going to temple square my whole life, but I am anxious to learn all the behind the scenes stuff that goes on there. I am sure that I will learn so many new things. I am also excited to teach people what I know to be true, the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that I will be meeting so many different kinds of people from all over the world and I can't wait to share my happiness with them. I know it will be tough, but I am ready.
